What primary class notes are
Primary class notes are ready-made written explanations of what a learner covers in each CBC learning area, arranged lesson by lesson so a child can study or revise in the same order the material is taught in class. They set out the content itself – the explanations, examples and summaries – rather than the plan for teaching it, and they cover both the classwork and the homework or practice that goes with each lesson.
This page brings together the primary notes for Grade 1 to Grade 6 in one place. Because they follow the learning areas week by week, they work for day-to-day study, for catching up on a lesson a child missed, and for revising before an assessment. Use the grade links below to open the notes you need, or the button at the bottom for the full primary collection.
How primary notes are organised
Under the CBC, primary learning is grouped into learning areas rather than single subjects, and the notes follow that structure. Each set of notes moves through a learning area lesson by lesson, matching the sequence a teacher delivers across the term, so a learner reading the notes covers the material in the order they meet it in class. Because the notes include the classwork and the homework side by side, a learner can both understand a lesson and practise it from the same resource.
This lesson-by-lesson shape is what makes primary notes different from the topic-by-topic notes used at secondary level: at this stage the aim is steady coverage of everything a class does, not jumping to a single exam topic.

Who these notes are for
- Learners and home users – find your grade above and download the notes for the learning area you're studying or revising; they read in the same order as class.
- Teachers – the lesson-by-lesson structure maps to how you deliver the learning areas, so the notes work as a teaching companion and as material to set for study.
- Parents, and anyone downloading on a child's behalf (including from a cyber café or business centre) – primary notes are specific to grade, so confirm the child's grade before downloading and match it against the grade links above.
- Researchers and education-sector readers – these are the CBC primary-level notes, structured by learning area and lesson to reflect how the curriculum is actually delivered in Grade 1–6.
